Gregorey Otto Obituary

Gregorey Anthony Otto, passed away Father’s Day weekend, 2021, at the age of 55 in Burkburnett, Texas. He was known by many as “Otto” but for this tribute he will be referred to as Gregorey.

His service will be held on Monday afternoon, July 12, 2021,  at 1:00pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.  Gregorey is survived in death by his children, Sierra, Adriana and Jaxsen Otto, his mother, Karen Otto, brother, Michael Otto and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his father, Dale K. Otto and step-daughter, Kalie Watkins.

Gregorey was born in Oscoda, Michigan in 1965.  He graduated from Sandusky High School in Sandusky, Ohio in 1983.  He attended college in San Bernardino, California and graduated with a dual degree in Business and Criminal Justice from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.  He trained to be a personal protection officer and graduated from the CLEET academy in Lawton, Oklahoma.  He worked for the Comanche County Sheriff’s Department.  He was the finance director for Pruitt Ford and Landrum Chevrolet, in Burkburnett, Texas.  He also worked for Patterson’s Auto Center as their Military Liaison.

Gregorey enjoyed coaching semi-pro football in Wichita Falls, Texas and helped lead his team, the Vipers, to their super bowl.  He kept up with a lot of his players throughout the years and is referred to as “Coach” by manyof them still.  He loved music and helped manage a rock and roll band called “Off One Rocker” in California with his brother, Michael.

His greatest joys in life were his children.  He helped coach their soccer teams and was often their loudest cheerleader in all they did.

Gregorey was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a lot of faith throughout his life and shared that with others often.  He is a dad, son, brother, nephew, cousin, coach and friend.
