Elizabeth N. (Deems) Corvin, 85, of Huron, passed away peacefully early Friday afternoon, April 23, 2021, surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Milan, OH after a lengthy battle with Lymphoma.
Born on May 6, 1935, in Goose Creek, WV the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Ethel Charlotte (Joy) Deems. She had worked at New Departure-Hyatt Inc.(Division of General Motors) for 30 years, before retiring in 1983.
She will be remembered by how her whole life revolved around her family and the grandchildren, whom she truly loved. . But her main passion in life was her relationship with God as she attended several local churches over the years. For over 20 years, she had enjoyed traveling with her husband, Larry. Elizabeth had also loved watching the Cleveland Indians and had been a member of the UAW Local #913.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Larry V. Corvin, whom she married on December 23, 1960; also her family, Becky (Jim Thornton) Uhl of Parkersburg, WV, Kassia (Jeff) McMinn of Milan, Heidi Busdicker of Milan and Tyson (Ella) Corvin of Beachwood, OH; 18 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Becky) Uhl, Colby (Jenny) Uhl, Judd (Becca) Uhl, Isaac (Jenni) Uhl, Benjamin Busdicker, Lizzy (Josh) Manrow, Hailee (Stefan) Taylor, Corvin McMinn, Beau Busdicker, Brock (Alexandria) Busdicker, Noah McMinn, Montana (Omar) Cavazos, Aubree McMinn, Marlie (Alex) Michel, Mya Corvin, Marina Corvin, Holly Busdicker, Charlotte Goykhberg; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; a sister, Myrt Wenmoth of Vienna, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Benny and Billy Deems; 11 sisters, Garnet Wilson, Edna Cain, Dorothy Santee, Stella Deem, Bessie Neff, Jessie Deems, Mickey Whitecotton, Bootsie Richards, Teenie Stout, Rosalie Williams and Charlotte Deems; and her two sons-in-law, Von Uhl and Bill Busdicker.
At her request, private family funeral services to be held. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, in Huron, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
