Dorothy Ione (Kriemes) Martin

Dorothy I. (Kreimes) Martin, 93, of Castalia, passed away late Tuesday afternoon, August 4, 2020, at the Willows at Bellevue, in Bellevue, OH from natural causes.
  Born on March 3, 1927, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of George and Ella (Dolch) Kreimes.  Dorothy had attended Sandusky High School.  For over 60 years, Dorothy had been a Manager at the I.A.B. Club the U.A.W. Lounge, a bartender at Kaman’s Korners and other local taverns, and she was the owner and operator of Martin’s Coffee Shop.
  Throughout the years, Dorothy had been a die hard Cleveland Indians fan.  She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially at family get-together's and picnics, playing Bingo and going on trips to the casino in Windsor.
  She was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 2529  and the U.A.W. Local # 913.
  Dorothy is survived by her family, Sandy Kaman, Rick (Jennifer Schaub) Martin of Bay View, Jeff (Rose) Martin of Sandusky, Bonnie (Jeff) Pean of Castalia, Bruce (Sandy) Martin of Castalia; 13 Grandchildren, Chris, Jackie, Ranae, Ron, Derrick, Manda, Jaime, Troy, Will, Emilee, Jennifer, Andrew, and Jeffrey; 26 Great-Grandchildren; 14 Great-Great-Grandchildren and 2 on the way; 2 brothers, Bob (Toni) Kreimes and George Kreimes; a daughter-in-law, Deb Swanson; her sister-in-law, Charlene Kreimes; and many nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William "Bill" Sprouse,; a great-grandson, Nicholas Kaman; 3 sisters, Evelyn (Bob) Gouker, Dolores “Lori” (George "Hank") Dunlap and Ruth (George) Rhonehouse; and 2 brothers, Donald (Evelyn) and Wayne Kreimes; her son-in-law, Jack Kaman; and her sister-in-law, Olive Kreimes.
  Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon, August 8, 2020, from 2 pm until time of funeral services at 4 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, wearing of masks (they will be offered) and social spacing will be mandatory.  If you're uneasy about attending, please feel free to leave a message to the family on the website.  Following the service, it was Dorothy's wish to be cremated. Burial at Castalia Cemetery, Castalia, OH and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
