Doris Jean Gorby-Ennemoser, 90, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, May 21, 2021.
Born on June 26, 1930, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of James Raymond and Leona Elizabeth (Showman) Smyth. . She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, decorating, dancing, her puppies, and living near the lake. Doris most of all enjoyed celebrating the accomplishments of her ever growing family..
Doris was married to Mervin K. Goby, whom together were blessed with eight children; Joyce (Jimmy) Zdanowicz, Donna Deal, Sue (Monica Mondozzi) Gorby, Kelly Gorby, Shirley Rene' Pfaff, Ken (Eva) Gorby, and Rob (Mark Weikle) Gorby; 12 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; and her two brothers, William and Robert Smyth; also her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Mervin K. Gorby (1970); her infant daughter, Rebecca Jean Gorby; her second husband, Leo Ennemoser; two sisters, Arlene Davis and Shirley Chmielewski - Bruce; and a son-in-law, Thomas Pfaff.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, May 26, 2021, from 9:30 am until time of funeral services at 11 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Mel Sayler and Rev. Donna Bretz officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 pm in the Grove Street Cemetery, in New London, OH.
