Doris Jean Eickermann

Doris Jean Eickermann, 85, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Thursday afternoon, February 25, 2021, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
   Born on October 10, 1935, in Silex, Missouri, the daughter of Edward Joseph and Margaret Mary (Henry) Eickermann.  Doris attended Sandusky Public Local Schools and remained an avid lifelong Blue Streak fan.  Her family was her life.  From her loving parents and sisters to the youngest of her great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, Doris loved and adored each and every one of them, especially the babies.  Every life that Doris touched is better for having had her in it.   She was a devoted member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
  Doris is survived by her sister, Catherine Stower of Norwalk; and her nieces and nephews and their families, Robin (Ginny) Grathwol of Sandusky, Amy (Scott) White of Saline, MI, Kevin (Dawn) Grathwol of Lewis Center, OH and Jill (Dan) Gies of Huron, Barry (Deb) Brown of Ghent, KY, Brad (Cindy) Brown of Burlington, KY, Brent (Jane Lynn) Brown of Warsaw, KY, Beth (Jeff) Wallace of Ghent, KY, Bruce (Jenny) Brown of Warsaw, KY, Kirk (Kelley) Wyatt of Huron, Lori (Butch) Kurtz of Norwalk, Brian (Kellie) Wyatt of Norwalk; and many more great and great-grand nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Ann Grathwol and Betty Brown; three brothers-in-law, John 'Jack' Grathwol, Robert 'Bob' Wyatt and Richard 'Dick' Stower; two nieces, Lisa Marie Grathwol and Jerilyn Sue Wyatt; and twin great-nieces, Patricia and Sara Gies
   At the request of the family, cremation will take place.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Doris on Friday morning, March 5, 2021, at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Chris Jesudhason  officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
