Donna Jean (Wiedeman) Yontz, 84 of Norwalk, OH, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, October 30, 2022, peacefully at her home after a brief illness.
Born on September 6, 1938, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Carl and Severia (Palmison) Wiedeman. She was a 1956 graduate of Sandusky High School. After raising her family, Donna went on to work at Aramark for several years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sandusky; the Sandusky Orioles Club Nest #279 and the Norwalk Eagles AERIE #711.
She will be remembered by family and friends as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, who filled all those around her with love, compassion and kindness. The family will always have fond memories of her passion for making holidays and celebrations so special. Donna loved cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Wayne A. Yontz, whom she married on August 18, 1956; her four daughters, Sherry LaMarca (Scott), Brenda (Jack) Boone, Linda (Gregg) Heiden, and Susan (Brett) Droscha; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandson, Paxton.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steven Yontz on March 19, 2018 and a brother in infancy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 11am until time of funeral service at 1pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Deacon Carolyn Steinfeldt officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
