Donna Jean (Burrows) Tigges

Donna J. (Burrows) Tigges, 85, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Thursday afternoon, February 6, 2025, at The Meadows at Osborn Park, in Huron, OH.

    Born on February 7, 1939, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Max Johann Heinrich and Hildegard Clara (Roth) Burrows.  Donna had worked for over 20 years at the American Crayon Company (Dixon-Ticonderoga Inc.), before retiring.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

   Donna is survived by her daughter, Diane Templeton of Willoughby; her son, Duane (Jane) Tigges, Jr. of Sandusky;  five grandchildren, Dana, Amanda, Becki (Mike), Stephanie (Jeffrey), and Adam; her eight great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Paige, Luca, Trae, Ammitti, Kiarah, Jonathan, and Skybree; her 6 great-great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Duane Tigges, Sr. whom she married on May 19, 1956; her daughter, Deanna Ellis;  a sister, Carol Pankow; and her two brothers, Jack and Norm Burrows.

   Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, February 11, 2025 from 11 am until time of the family led funeral service at 1 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
