Denis A. Cote`

 Denis A. Cote', 81, of Sandusky, OH passed away Thursday morning, March 2, 2023, at The Meadows at Osborn Park, in Huron, OH after a lengthy illness.
   Born on September 5, 1941, in Montreal, Canada the son of Andre and Aurea (Allie) Cote'.  Denis had worked at the Sandusky Ford Motor Company for several years and later owned and operated D.C. Filter, in Sandusky, before retiring.  He loved the water and over the years spending time on the lake boating and fishing off of his boat.
   He was a member of the Sandusky Rotary Club and the Sandusky Elks Lodge.
   Denis is survived by a son, Steve (Cindy) Cote' of Columbus; and two grandchildren; his sisters, Francine (Andre') Bourgane of Montreal, Canada and Claire Cote' of St. Drummenville, Canada; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives; also his former wife, Edith C. Bodi of Sandusky; his stepchildren, Brian (Terri) Homegardner of Catawba Island, Craig (Tammi) Homegardner of Sandusky and Judith Magers of Fremont, OH; two stepgrandchildren, Whitney (Kevin) Davis and Morgan (Mikey) Hurd; and four step-great-grandchildren, Madison, Miles, Luke and Laney.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Yvan and Eddy Cote'; and a stepson, Brad Homegardner.
   It was his wish to be cremated.  A memorial service will be held for Denis on Saturday afternoon, March 11, 2023, at 2:30 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Rev. Wally Gilbert officiating.
   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to one's favorite charity.
