David Jude Theibert, 61, of Perrysburg, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024. He was born December 4, 1963 in Fort Hood, Texas, the son of Jude and JoAnne (nee Hipp) Theibert of Sandusky, Ohio. A graduate of Thomas A. Edison High School in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1982, he also earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from York College in York, Pennsylvania.
A music lover and very talented harmonica player, David played for bands in the Toledo area. He equally loved sports, especially soccer and football, and was a life-long fan of D.C. United, U.S. Men’s National Team and the Washington Commanders (fka Redskins). David thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, often hiking, camping, and biking and was a Civil War enthusiast. His unique humor always brought smiles and laughter to a room and his kindness and caring nature will be greatly missed.
Remaining to cherish David’s memory are mother, JoAnne Theibert of Sandusky, Ohio; siblings, Karen Knobloch (Stephan) of Avon Lake, Ohio, Ann-Marie Long (Robert) of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, Marcy Starks (James) of Fairview Park, Ohio and Michael Theibert (Elena) of Avon, Ohio; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding David in death is his father, Jude Joseph Theibert (August 2023).
Visitation will be held Saturday morning, January 11th from 10:00 until time of a short prayer service at 11:30 at David F. Koch Funeral Home 520 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
