David E. "Tank" Melville, 60, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday evening, March 10, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic - Avon Hospital, in Avon, OH after a lengthy illness.
Born on January 6, 1961, in Sandusky, OH the son of Frederick James "Fritz" and La Vahn Renatta (Chill) Melville. He was a 1979 graduate of Perkins High School. David loved farming and pulling his antique tractors around with his brother, Jimmy. Over the years, he enjoyed helping out at the Hermes and Cowie Farms in the local area. David "Tank" was a loving papa to all of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving companion of nearly 15 years, Kathy; his sister, Renee S. (John) Lewis; his two brothers, Michael J. (Rita) Melville and James T. "Jimmy" (Carol) Melville; and other relatives.
Tank was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Frederick "Fritzy" Melville, Jr. (1977).
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, the wearing of face masks (they will be offered) and social distancing will be mandatory. If you are uneasy about attending, please feel free to leave a message to the family on our website. It was his wish to be cremated following visitation. Private family graveside services will be held later in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
