Daniel William Strickland

Daniel William Strickland, formally of Madison Heights, Michigan, passed away surrounded by family at ProMedica Toledo Hospital on February 24, 2022. He was 58 years old.

Dan was born September 14, 1963 in Highland Park, Michigan to Darlene Marovich and Leonard Strickland. He was a 1982 graduate of Athens High School. He married Laura Strickland in 1989 and they had three children; Trevor, Britany, and Chelsea. 

Although his work took him to Ohio, his love for Detroit sports teams never faded. In his younger days, he loved attending car shows, spending time by the pool, and playing baseball. Dan loved to cook, watch anything that would make him laugh, and attend all his children’s sporting events. He also enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren, Julian and Eason. 

In addition to Laura, their children, and grandchildren, Dan is survived by his siblings; Debbie Rich, Randy Strickland, and Denise Mattson, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Marovich, father, Leonard Strickland, and his stepfather, John Marovich.
