Clyde Thomas Cunningham, 89, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday morning, January 29, 2023, at the Wickshire Countryside ALDS, in Clearwater FL.
Born on April 16, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Clyde James and Helen (Frost) Cunningham. He was a veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For many years he had worked in sales, for Keebler Cookies, Snyder Potato Chips and for the Thomas Neilson-Word Publishing Company, in the Publishing Division of ABC, before retiring.
Clyde had been a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the American Legion Post # 83.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline M. (DeCaro) Cunningham, whom he married in 1965; two stepsons, Sam (Mary Jo) Artino of Palm Harbor, FL and Norman Obermeyer, Jr., of Norwalk, OH; eight step-grandchildren and his step-great-grandchildren.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; and his stepdaughter-in-law, Debra Obermeyer.
It was his wish to be cremated. No funeral services to be held. Burial will be in Meadow Green Cemetery, in Huron, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959; or to Erie County Community Foundation, 135 E. Washington Row, Sandusky, OH 44870 in memory of Anna and Sam Barone.
