Clarice Jackson Obituary

Clarice Monica Jackson was born on September 28, 1965, in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late Harold Percy Jackson II and Cheryl Maureen Reeves.  Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Detroit, Michigan, where Clarice was raised and educated.  She attended Detroit Public Schools and graduated from Mackenzie High School.

Clarice was the proud and devoted mother of four sons; Marcus, Marquise, Martez, and Demarco Jackson.  Though she never had a daughter of her own, she poured her heart into the lives of her beloved nieces, Tamia Reeves and Alicia Jackson, and her cherished godchildren; Asia Young, Ayoemi Young, and Malika Bassir, among many others.

A natural caregiver, Clarice found her calling in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She was passionate about caring for others and took immense pride in her work.  Known for her spotless home and love for cleanliness, it was just in her nature to bring order and warmth wherever she went.

Clarice was also a proud member of the social club Outcast, where she was lovingly known as "Ms. Pain."  Through this sisterhood, she gained lifelong friendships and became family to many.

Clarice will always be remembered for her sharp wit, candid spirit, and her no-nonsense approach to life.  She spoke her truth with courage and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is survived by her loving sons; Marcus, Marquise, Martez, and Demarco Jackson; her treasured grandchildren; Madison, Maximus, DeMari, CasMeir, and Amoura Jackson; and her brothers, Harold Percy Jackson III (JJ), Tyrone Johnson, Larry Johnson, and Clifford Lawrence.  She also leaves behind the Young family, who held a special place in her heart, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will carry her memory with love.

Clarice was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Candice Jackson; brothers, Calvin Reeves, Jeffrey Johnson, and Vincent Jackson; her grandmother, Barbara Reeves; Rodney Smith (Bruce); William Asia Young (Poppa); and Paula McBride (Mommy).

Clarice legacy is one of strength, honesty, compassion, and fierce love.  Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
