Christine "Chris" Adelia (Bille) Harris

Christine A. "Chris" (Bille) Harris, 60, of Castalia, passed away early Friday afternoon, June 4, 2021, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after  fighting a brave, ten-year battle with metastatic cancer.
   Born in Massillon, OH on October 14, 1960, the daughter of Cletus and Dorothy Marie (Wiedman) Bille.  She was a 1979 graduate of Huron High School.  Chris cherished and loved her family above all else and showed that love through acts of selflessness.  Everyone she ever knew was made to feel like family, and the home she shared in Castalia with her husband, Brian, was a gathering place with an open invitation to all.   She was the binding thread of love that connected the tapestry of people in her life.
   She had worked at the Port Clinton Wal-Mart for over 30 years and was involved in many work related activities and benefits.  She had been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky.  While living in Port Clinton, Chris had served as a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic School Board and chairman of the I.C.S. Auction.   For a few years, she was also president of the Port Clinton High School Band Boosters, and with her husband, Brian, involved with the 50/50 drawing for the Margaretta Athletic Boosters.
   She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Brian, whom she married on September 15, 1984; her children, Nathan, Andrew (Hannah), and Lydia; her granddaughter, Adelia; her brother, Charles "Chuck" (Lucy) Bille of Huron; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
   Chris was preceded in death by her parents.
   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 4-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Prayers will be recited Thursday morning, June 10, 2021, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Monty Hoyles, officiating.  It was her wish to be cremated following the service. Burial will take place at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
