Carolyn (James) Burns

   Carolyn (James) Burns, 86, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, September 1, 2019, at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness.
   Born on July 10, 1933, in Portsmouth, OH the daughter of Jesse Estle and Eva Kathleen (Carr) James.  She was a graduate of Sandusky High School and the Providence School of Nursing.  Carolyn had first worked at Chrysler Plastics for 15 years and later at the Providence Care Center as a L.P.N. for nearly 20 years, before retiring.   Over the years, she enjoyed gardening, reading, making quilts and baking wedding cakes, but she especially loved spending time with her family and the grandchildren.
   Carolyn is survived by five daughters, Jackie (Lyndell) Stike of Alabama, Carol (Rob) Wamsley of Lakesland, FL, Rhonda (Charles) Weyer of Green Springs, Kellie (John) Anthony of Hilliard, and Milly Greer of Bellevue, OH; 15 grandchildren, especially 3 special ones, Jesse, Sara and Nicole Wilson; and numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Patsy) James of Tennessee; a sister, Loretta Montgomery of Michigan; and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold J. Burns; a great-grandson, Daniel Ferback; a sister, Judith Rose, and two brothers, Robert and William James. 
   It was Carolyn's wishes to be cremated.  No visitation or funeral services will be held.  Interment will be held at a later date in the Castalia Cemetery, in Castalia, OH.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
