Carolyn Marie (Walker) Bracy

Carolyn (Walker) Bracy, 85, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2022, with her son at her side in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on October 5, 1936, in Dover, OH the daughter  of  Otto and Hazel Abigail (Brown) Walker.  She was a graduate of Dover High School. Carolyn, in her earlier days she had worked as a secretary at Sandusky High School and later was a homemaker.  Over the years she had enjoyed crafts of various types and working on lead glass projects.  She loved weaving baskets, quilting and gardening.
   Carolyn was a member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ and the Garden Club of Sandusky.
   She is survived by her son, Kevin (Deborah) Bracy of Avon, OH; her daughter, Deb (Buzz) Menz of Middleton, WI; three grandchildren, Celia (Matt) Parsons, Nate Menz and Kyle Bracy; and her great-grandkids, Charlie and Abigail Parsons; and a sister, Barb Jerman of Middleton, WI.
   Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 39 years, Kenneth N. Bracy on December 23, 2007.
   Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 1-3 and 5-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky and on Wednesday morning, April 13, 2022, from 10 am until time of the funeral service at 11 am at St. Stephen United Church of Christ, 905 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky.  The Rev. Jerald A. Fenske officiating.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to St. Stephen United Church of Christ, 905 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870;  to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the American Heart Association,1689 E. 115th Street, Cleveland, OH 44106.
