Betty Jo "BJ" Riedy

Betty Jo "BJ" Riedy, 70, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, December 17, 2023, at Admiral's Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Huron, Ohio.

   Born on October 18, 1953, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Norman Christopher "Shorty" and Joyce Helen ( Harper )  Wiedle.  Betty Jo was a graduate of Margaretta High School.

   She is survived by her son, Rich (Kelly) Sommers of Fremont; and a step-daughter, Rondi (Jeff) LaMarca.

   Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William I. "Billy" Sommers (1978); and her second husband, Ronald A. Riedy (2020).

   It was her wish to have private funeral services held.  Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Sandusky.

   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association Northwest Ohio Chapter, 480 W. Dussel Drive, Toledo, OH 43537.
