Barnsdall “Dale” Nathan Wells, Jr., 64, of Sandusky, OH, passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, May 4, 2020 of sudden natural causes.
Dale was born on April 9, 1956 in Buffalo, NY to Barnsdall “Barney” N. and Vincenza “Vicky” A. (Massaro) Wells, Sr.. After graduating from Perkins High School in 1974, he went on to study Business Administration at Bowling Green State University. After a lengthy career in finances for various country clubs in Texas, he returned to Ohio and ran The Gull Motel in Huron, OH before retiring.
Dale was an enthusiastic community member of Huron, Ohio and often attended Huron Chamber of Commerce meetings. He was proud to live along Lake Erie and be a part of lake living culture. He missed living in Huron after selling his motel in 2019. Dale spent his time enjoying various hobbies including playing pool and tennis in his younger years, and continuing his learning in history & technology. He had an admiration for his 1967 Mustang Convertible and Harley Davidson.
Dale was predeceased by his father, Barnsdall “Barney” N. Wells Sr.; his sister-in-law, Denise Kay (David) Wells; and various aunts & uncles.
He is survived by his mother, Vincenza “Vicky” A. (Massaro) Wells; his brother, Dominic “Nick” T. Wells; a niece, Kathryn “Katie” V. (Wells) Laughlin and family; and his nephew, Dominic “Dom” D. Wells & family, and various cousins.
It was Dale's wish to be cremated. No visitation or funeral services will be held. Burial of his cremains will take place at a later date in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Hamburg, NY
