Barbara K. (Knebusch) Coleman

  Barbara K. Coleman, 96, of Lakewood, OH passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, surrounded by her family at The Welsh Home, in Rocky River, OH where she had resided since 2024.

   Mother to William Jr. (Lucy), Robert (Tina), James (Robin), Timothy (Amy) Coleman and Elizabeth (Dean) Ritz; grandmother of 9; great-grandmother of 10, and special grandma to her many bonus grandkids and great-grandkids. 

   Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Sr.; her parents, Walter F. and Alice Knebusch; and her siblings, Jack, George, Jim, Ruth, and Walter.

   Friends will be received at the Zeis-McGreevey Funeral Home, 16105 Detroit Avenue from 4-7 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

   A memorial service will be held on Saturday morning, April 11, 2026, at 11 am at the Zion United Methodist Church, 142 Division Street, Kelleys Island, OH 43438.  Interment will be in the Kelleys Island Cemetery.

   The family requests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, 1 Wade Oval Drive, Cleveland, OH 44106 or The Kirtlandia Intern Program (CMNH).
