Barbara Ann (Loescher) Andres

 Barbara A. (Loescher) Andres, 86, of Sandusky, went Home to be with the Lord early Wednesday evening, November 11, 2020, with family at her side, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
  Born on August 4, 1934, in Shelby, OH the daughter of Roy Donald and Irene Loretta (Weaver) Loescher.   She was a graduate of Most Pure Heart of Mary's Catholic School  and a 1952 graduate of Shelby High School.  Barbara had worked for Delco Chassis (Division of General Motors)  and E.D.S. for 32 years, retiring in 1994.
   She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, where she had served on the bereavement committee and had visited the Shut-Ins of the church, a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Sandusky Yacht Club. 
   Barbara is survived by a daughter, Laura Chorpenning of Batavia, OH; three sons, David (Karen) Andres of Sandusky, OH, Thomas (Candy) Andres of Castalia and Steven (Ed Ostheimer) Andres of Sandusky; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 60 years, Duane A. Andres on October 11, 2015; two sisters, Jeanette Wagner and Eleanor Kempf; and two brothers, Victor and Kenneth Loescher.
   Visitation will be held on Sunday  afternoon, November 15, 2020 from 3-5 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, wearing of face masks (they will be offered) and social distancing will be mandatory.  If you are uneasy about attending, please feel free to leave a message to the family on our website.  Prayers will be recited Monday morning, November 16, 2020, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Chris Jesudhason officiating.   Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
