Anna Louise (Byrne) Morehart

Anna L. "Grannie Annie" Morehart, 78, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, April 14, 2021,  at The Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland, OH, after a lengthy illness.
   Born on March 14, 1943, in Tiffin, OH the daughter of Harry Monroe "Moe" and Phyllis Marie (Decker) Byrne.  She had graduated from Old Fort High School.  For many years she had worked as a Nurse's Aide at the Good Samaritan Hospital, in Sandusky, and later she went on and worked at Wal-Mart for a few years,  before retiring in 2007.
   Over the years, she had enjoyed reading, working on search words, shooting pool, playing dart ball and dancing in the bars.  But she especially loved spending time with the family and the grandchildren.
   Anna is survived by her four daughters, Brenda S. (Jim) Gessner of Sandusky, Tina M. Morehart of Sandusky, Laurie A. (Joseph) Shupe of Greenwich and Peggy D. (Tom) Peer of Tiffin, OH; her son, Carl W. (Onalisa Zeller) Morehart II of Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Nancy Yoakum of Tiffin and Nanette (Jim) Kimball of Bellevue; her two brothers, Robert and Larry Byrne both of Tiffin;  and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents.
   It was her wish to be cremated.  Family will receive friends on Monday morning, April 26, 2021, from  9:00 am until 11:00 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Family graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, in Tiffin OH.
