Alice Armella (Moos) Sprau

  Alice A. "Allie" Sprau went home to be with her Lord early Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021, at the age of 92, at her home in Sandusky.
   Alice was born on March 4, 1929, and lived her entire life in Sandusky, OH.  Her parents were Emil and Clara (Hobert) Moos.  Alice graduated from Sandusky High School in 1947.  After her children were raised, she worked at Kiddie Korral for many years
   Alice was a lifelong member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.  There she was active in volunteering for various projects and serving on committees.
  On April 10, 1950, Alice married the love of her life, John "Jack" Sprau and they spent 62 wonderful years together.  She is survived by their five children: Ruthann (Larry) Reeves of North Carolina, Barbara (Adolfo) Leal of Huron, Daniel (Kathy) Sprau of Tennessee, Ellen (David) Behrendsen of Sandusky, and Michael (Rhonda) Sprau of Rocky River. She truly loved her children. Alice is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Moos of Sandusky; and her nieces and nephews. 
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack (2012); her parents; her step-father, Paul Bowersox; a brother, Hobert Moos; and two sisters, Mary Katherine (Moos) Schaefer and Anna Rose (Moos) Strasser.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Alice on Wednesday morning, December 29, 2021, at 10 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 429 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Monte Hoyles officiating.  Immediately following the interment, next to her beloved husband, Jack, at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, there will be a luncheon back at Holy Angels Catholic Church.
   The family is deeply grateful to Alice's granddaughter, Alicia Leal, for the care she gave her grandmother in her final months of her life.  Because of her, Alice was able to stay and pass away in her home.  Ali's love and care for her "Gram" will forever be remembered and appreciated!
