Steve A. Nestor, 68, of Huron, passed away late Sunday evening, December 10, 2017, surrounded by his family at University Hospitals of Cleveland, after a brief illness.
   Born on August 16, 1949, in Sandusky, OH the son of Harold DeWayne and Nancy Lou (Meisler) Nestor.  He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1967 and later from the Lorain Community College.  Steve was an Industrial Electrician, having worked over the years at Sandusky Electric, Inc., Duffett Elelectric and later retiring from Tsubaki, where he had worked for many years.
   In years past, Steve enjoyed going hunting and fishing, but he especially loved being with his grandchildren and the family.  In his earlier days, he had been involved with the Boy Scouts and at one time had been a Scout Leader.  Steve was a member of the AMVETS Post # 17 and the American Legion Post # 83.
   He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy M. (Hallock) Nestor; a son, Todd (Sabrina) Nestor of Sandusky; and a daughter, Alyson (Matthew Ross) Kluding of Sandusky; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Elizabeth, Lexus, Leila, Evelyn, Kalianha, Jackson and Weslee; a sister, Cathy (Mark) Pifer of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
   Steve was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Karen Barnum; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
   At his request, cremation has taken place.  The family will receive friends on Monday, December 18, 2017, from 3-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Steve on Tuesday morning, December 19, 2017, at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr.Joe Steinbauer officiating.  Interment will be held later in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Victory Temple Soup Kitchen, 1613 Hayes Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
