Skyler “Sky” Christian Sartor

Skyler C. "Sky" Sartor, 40, of Huron, formerly of Denver, CO, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, January 2, 2018, surrounded by his family in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on September 29, 1977, in Sandusky, OH the son of Stephen Joseph Sartor and Lenore Mary Knapp.  Skyler was a 1995 graduate of St. Mary's Central Catholic High School and received his Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo in 1999.
   His dream of ALL dreams was to be able to live in Denver, Colorado, an area which he totally loved,  to appreciate the beauty of the mountains and the countless sunrises and the sunsets that he took in and enjoyed with his many friends.  While in Denver, he had worked for S.C.L. Health, before returning home due to health reasons.  Skyler loved music of all kinds, photography, traveling and especially hiking.
  He is survived by his mother, Lenore M. "Lee" Remy of Huron; his father, Stephen J. "Steve" (Gloria Schnurr) Sartor of Sandusky; a brother, Travis C. Sartor of Huron;  his aunts, Barb (Dave Selz) Knapp of Sandusky, Teri Behrends of Port Clinton, Sister Mary Sartor SND of Whitehouse and Geriann Sartor of Sandusky; and his uncles, Daniel (Cindy Keene) Sartor of Hillsboro, OR and Michael (Debbie) Sartor of Berlin Heights; and many special friends.
   Skyler was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Helen Knapp; his paternal grandparents, Dell and Margaret Sartor; and an uncle, Kenneth R. Knapp. 
   At his request there will be no visitation or funeral services.  It was his wish to be cremated.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his name to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
