Scott L Miller

  It is with great sadness that the family of Scott L. Miller, 60, of Huron,  announces his passing after a courageous battle with cancer early Monday morning, October 16, 2017, surrounded by his family in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on May 6, 1957, in Sandusky, OH, the son of Gustav Gerhart and Claudia "Marie" (Benedettini) Miller, Jr..  Scott was a 1975 graduate of St. Mary's High School.  He had worked at Meadowlawn Elementary School, in the Perkins Local School System, for over 30 years, as the Head Custodian, before retiring.  Scott had been involved over the years with the junior high football program as a referee.  He loved his sports, especially The Ohio State University Buckeyes.  Scott also enjoyed going fishing, playing golf and spending time with his beloved dog, "Juliette."  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
   Scott will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years, Cheryl A. (Clay) Miller; his daughter, Andrea Miller of Crossville, TN; two sons, Brian (Kristi) Miller of Mt. Wolf, PA and David (Nikki Sabatina) Miller of Lyndhurst, OH; three grandchildren, Madeline, Brianna and Landon;  his father, Robert Todd of Huron; his brothers and sisters, Gus (Michelle) Miller of Trenton, MI, Mark (Pat) Miller of Huron, Debbie (Joel) Lynn of Castalia, Terry (Daniel) White of Tiffin, Lisa Todd-Martin of Sandusky, Gregory (Lynn) Todd of Shelby Twp. MI and Bruce Todd of Shelby Twp., MI; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Clay of Sandusky; his sister-in-law, Geralyn (Elmer) Lippert of Castalia; and also he will be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews and his extended family and dear friends.
   Scott was preceded in death by his father, Gustav G. Miller, Jr. (1967); his mother, C. Marie Miller-Todd (1992); his father-in-law, Gerald Clay; his sister-in-law, Robyn Todd; and a nephew, Ryan Todd.
   Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Prayers will be recited Monday morning, October 23, 2017, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Jeff Walker officiating.  At his request, following services cremation is to take place.  Inurnment will take place later in the Calvary Cemetery Columbariun, Sandusky.
