Ronald Dennis Arthur

Ronald D. Arthur, 77, of Virginia Beach, VA, formerly of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, January 25, 2018. 
   Born on March 26, 1940, in Sandusky, OH the son of Virgil and Anna (Burmeister) Arthur.  He was a veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Navy for over 25 years, before retiring.  Ron loved riding his motorcycle with his Navy buddies either going on road trips or being involved in a variety of functions or parades to honor the U.S. Navy.
   He is survived by  a cousin, Bill Catherman of Sandusky.
   Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and other relatives.
   Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018, from 4-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Prayers will be recited Tuesday morning, January 30, 2018, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Jeff Walker officiating.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
   The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
