Richard C. "Dick" Volz, 94, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, October 13, 2018, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

Actually, when playing for the Soldiers and Sailors Home baseball team, with Dick, playing second base, and his brother Bob, playing shortstop, they were known as "The Best" double play combination in the State of Ohio. Obviously, he was an avid sports fan and over the years he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren in sporting events and other activities.
Dick had worked at the Apex Company for awhile and later went on to work at the Scott Paper Company for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1982. He will be remembered for never missing a single day of work.
