Patrick J. Diemert, Sr., 63, of Sandusky, left this world, early Sunday morning, August 11, 2019, the same way he lived his life, on his own terms. He will be deeply missed by all of those that he had touched.
Born on June 12, 1956, in Cleveland, OH the son of Joseph W. and Evelyn A. (Maloney) Diemert, Sr.. Patrick was a 1974 graduate of Brush High School. For most of his life he had been a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger, which he had taken great pride in. Over the years, he enjoyed going out fishing and socializing with others. He loved horse racing and dreamt of owning his own horse again some day
Patrick is survived by his wife of 24 years, Andrea L. Coffman-Diemert; two sons, Patrick (Amy) Diemert, Jr. and Nicholas (Allison) Diemert, both of Naples, FL; and his grandchildren; his family, Joseph W. Diemert, Jr., Maureen Dugovics, Daniel (Mary) Diemert and John Diemert; his nieces and nephews; and his in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael (Deborah) Diemert; and his mother-in-law, Arlene Coffman.
It was Patrick's wishes to be cremated. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning, August 17, 2019, from 9 am until 12 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. A Memorial Mass will be held later for Patrick on Saturday morning, August 24, 2019, at 9:30 am at St. Gregory the Great Parish, (formerly Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church), 1545 S. Green Road, S. Euclid, OH, the family will receive friends from 8:30 am until time of the service.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to one's favorite charity dealing with children.
