Michael John Losey

Michael J. "Mike" Losey, 59, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Thursday evening, November 9, 2017, at his home from natural causes.
   Born on April 14, 1958, in Sandusky, OH the son of John Richard "Bud"  and Ann Margaret (Kreidler) Losey.  He was a 1976 graduate of Perkins High School (where he had lettered in golf) and he went on to attend The Ohio State University for two years.
   Mike in his earlier days, had worked at Esmond Dairy and also at Cliff Carryout.  He later went on to work at Sandusky Electric Inc. and more recently has been working for the Wolff Brothers Supply Inc..  At a young age, Mike had reached the rank of an Eagle Scout and had also, over the years, played golf in the Sandusky Elks Golf League (where had accomplished a hole-in-one) and at one time bowled in a League in the local area.
   He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Sandusky B.P.O. Elks Lodge #285 (where he had held the position of Exalted Ruler for two consecutive years), and a member of the Huron Eagles Aerie # 444.
   Mike is survived by his wife of 33 years, Judy A. (Kusser) Losey; a daughter, Ashley ( her fiance, Benjamin Carolus) Losey; his mother, Ann M. (Kreidler) Losey of Huron; his brother, John H. (Michelle) Losey of Huron; several nieces, nephews and other family members; and his mother-in-law, Ida E. Kusser of Sandusky.
   He was preceded in death by his father, John R. "Bud" Losey (November 13, 1995); and his father-in-law, Carl T. "Bud" Kusser, Jr..
   Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, where the Elks Lodge will conduct memorial services at 7 pm Monday.  Prayers will be recited Tuesday morning, November 14, 2017, at 9:40 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Rodney A. Kreidler officiating.  Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Sandusky Elks Lodge, 120 E. Adams Street, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
