Michael L. "Mike" Krick, 78, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Saturday evening, July 20, 2019, at Admiral's Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Huron, OH.
Born on July 5, 1941, in Sandusky, OH the son of Leo Sylvester and Elthea Caroline (Miller) Krick. Mike was a 1959 graduate of Sandusky High School. After graduation, he went on and had served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1959 until he was discharged in 1962. Mike had worked as an electrician at New Departure-Hyatt, Inc. (Division of General Motors) for 26 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a life member of the N. R. A. and had been an instructor in the Junior Rifle Program for 17 years, also a life member of the Erie County Conservation League, the AMVETS Post # 17, the Moose Lodge and had also been a member of the American Legion Post # 83,
Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Jo (Beaudin) Krick; two daughters, Michele (Dan) Owens of Grafton and Terri Krick of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Danielle, Justin, Jessica and Evan; 2 great-granddaughters, Olivia and Emilia: and a sister, Theresa Greenwood of Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
It was Mike's wishes to be cremated. No visitation or funeral services will be held.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to one's favorite charity.
