Melissa Jane McCall

Melissa J. McCall, 41, of Huron, passed away unexpectedly late Saturday afternoon, June 2, 2018, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, from natural causes.  It was her wish to be cremated.  Calling hours will be held on Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at the David F. Koch Funeral & Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.   Fr. Joe Steinbauer will be officiating.

Melissa performed as a double bassist in several semi-professional orchestras and worked as a chemical researcher. She was very active in an Airedale terrier rescue organization, ATRA. In addition Melissa enjoyed cultivating numerous varieties of roses as a hobby. 

As a result of Melissa's protracted battle with multiple health issues she was active in he Ehlers Danlos Society. Melissa is survived by her mother Sarah Schlacter, brother Chris McCall and family, father Nicholas McCall and family in addition to numerous extended family.
