Marilyn B. (Bogert) Weiland

HURON — Marilyn (Bogert) Weiland, 87, of Huron, passed away late Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 7, 2018, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born in Sandusky, Oct. 9, 1930, the daughter of David Jay and Margaret Elizabeth (Melchor) Bogert.
She was a graduate of Sandusky High School and The Ohio State University, and was employed by Ford Motor Company until her marriage.
She is survived by her children, Carrie Austin and Jay Weiland; her grandchildren, Ann Austin and Jonathan Weiland; her sister, Marty Moeller; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Peter J. Weiland on Aug. 8, 2003.
It was her wish to be cremated. There will be no services. Memorials, if desired, may be made in her name to Stein Hospice Services, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, where she loved to volunteer.
Marilyn was a generous soul, giving freely of her time, her gifts and her resources. If you would like to honor Marilyn, offer your time, talents or resources to a person or place in need.
