Margaret Irene Hewitt

 Margaret I. "Marge" Hewitt, 86, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Wednesday morning, January 10, 2018, in Admiral's Pointe Nursing Center, Huron, surrounded by her family.
   Born on December 28, 1931, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.   She was a 1950 graduate of Lakeside High School, in Lakeside, OH.  For nearly 30 years, Marge had worked at the Cohn Store and later at Caryl Crane's., before retiring.   Over the years, she enjoyed playing cards and traveling with her late husband, John.  Marge was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was involved with the bereavement committee.
   She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Schoewe of Sandusky and Diane (Scott) Gaydosh-Sachs of Huron; a son, Donald (Trudy) Gaydosh of Huron; and a step-son, Stephen (Brenda) Hewitt of Cincinnati; three granddaughters, Ann (Irwin) Mandel, Amy (Joe) Lamb and Abigail Sachs; a grandson, Shane (Ali) Wirth; seven great-grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Lamb, Ashley and Michael Mandel, Nik, Brandon and C.J. Wirth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   Marge was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn (LaGore) Tverdick; a former husband, Edward Gaydosh; her second husband, Don St. Marie and her third husband, Johnny O. "John" Hewitt.
   Visitation will be held Friday morning, January 12, 2018, from 9 am until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Joe Steinbauer officiating.  At her request, cremation will take place following the service.   Inurnrment will be held at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery Columbarium, Sandusky.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 .
   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
