Born on December 10, 1934, in Sandusky, OH the son of Leo Frank and Martha Susanne (Ringlein) Brown.   He was a 1952 graduate of St. Mary's High School.  At a very young age, Leo had joined the family business, Leo F. Brown Plumbing and Heating, which he would eventually co-own and operate with his brother, Carl.  For 65 years, Leo had been a licensed Master Plumber.
Over the years, he enjoyed making wine, but he especially loved getting together with his many friends for lunch or breakfast at their weekly designated spots, being either at a local Club or donut shop. Leo had a love for flying, which he hoped to someday learn to do, but was never able to find time for.  Although he did find time to take yearly flights on the "Tin Goose" and was a long time supporter of the Tin Goose Association.  He also was fascinated by the "Eagle" and had quite an extensive collection of pictures and memorabilia pertaining to its flight.  When he had the need for speed and openness, Leo could be found wheeling around town in his convertible, which he truly loved.  He had a big heart and was a big supporter of many local charities and fund raisers, especially those that dealt with the Sandusky Police or Fire Department Charities.
Leo was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where he had been an usher,  and had also attended Holy Angels Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 546, life member of the  Sandusky Elks Lodge # 285, the Maritime Museum and the Liberty Aviation Museum, member of the Sandusky Orioles Club, the Firelands Symphony and the Sandusky State Theatre  Association.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara M. "Barb" (Korden) Brown; two sons, Leo A. (Karen) Brown, Jr. of Huron and Joe Brown of Atlanta, GA; a grandson, Mitchell; two sisters, Celeste (Dr. Vincent) Schlicht of Sandusky and Martha (Samuel) Dietrich of Plymouth; a sister-in-law, Judy Brown of Sandusky; and nieces and nephews.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Carl J. Brown (2017).
