Joshua E. Johnson, 38, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Sunday evening, November 4, 2018, in Sandusky.
Born on May 6, 1980, in Sandusky, OH the son of Ronald Garrett Johnson and Clarice Rayann Hatcher. Joshua was a 1999 graduate of St. Mary's Central Catholic High School. For the past couple of years he had been working for Beck Oil Supplies and prior to that he worked at Thor-Works Industries for several years.
He loved fishing and his sports teams, especially the University of Michigan Wolverines football, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Steelers. He mostly enjoyed gaming with his friends as they called themselves the "Cry Havoc Warfare Clan." He was a "true Hero Click enthusiast..." as he loved all and everything about the Marvel Comics and also Predator and Aliens.
Joshua is survived by his mother, C. Rayann (Larry) Luce of Pickerington, OH; his father, Ron Johnson of Coldwater, OH; three sisters, Katie Johnson of Blacklick, OH, Holly Luce of Pataskala, OH and Kelli (Carl) Collins of Huron, OH; a brother, Michael (Robyn) Luce of Rocky River, OH; his paternal grandfather, Harold E. (Mary Lou) Johnson of Huron, OH; and nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ray and Martha (Oates) Hatcher; his paternal grandmother, Elzora A. "Zo" (Godare) Johnson; and his cousin, Alex M. Tetzloff.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, November 10, 2018, at 11 am at the funeral home. The Dr. Rev. James W. Knauf, his great-uncle, will be officiating. Cremation will take place following the services. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery at a later date.
