John Thomas Riedy

 John T. Riedy, 67, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, December 1, 2019, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
   Born on October 31, 1952, in Sandusky, OH the son of Joseph John and Eleanor Marie (Dych) Riedy.  He was a 1972 graduate of Sandusky High School.  For several years John has been employed by Ability Works, Inc..
   For years, he loved going over to the Cedar Point Amusement Park, which he had been a longtime season pass holder.  John was also a die-hard Sandusky High School Blue Streaks fan and would attend every and any type of sporting events that he could over the years, and for doing so he had been recognized by the Sandusky High School Blue Streaks Boosters Club as an inductee into the Hall of Fame for being their # 1 Fan.  He was also a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
   John is survived by his brother, Allen Riedy of San Diego, CA; his two sisters, Marilyn (Ronald) Claise of Lexington, MA and Nancy Funk of Marietta, OH; also his nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
   He was preceded in death by his parents.
   Visitation will be held on Thursday morning, December 5, 2019, from 8:30 am until 9:45 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Chris Jesuhason officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Sandusky.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Road, Independence, OH 44131.
