To all my Colvin cousins, I will always feel blessed to have had your Dad as my uncle. He was a man of irrepressible faith and good cheer. I never saw anything defeat that smile. As I recall, he also taught me the the fine art of the "man-hug". In my stoic youth he just swept right past all that and went for the big hug. What a guy!
Our prayers are with you in this time of loss.

Steve/Donna & all family members of the John Colvin family. Unfortunately I won't be able to participate in the visitation of M.r Colvin as I will be out of town on pre-scheduled maintenance of my personal health issues. I did want to pass on my sharing of your loss as I was privileged to participate in some very interesting card games with your father. He was also able to contribute some form of humor while outplaying almost all of us. We would lose due to lack of talent but thoroughly enjoyed the evening with him. I also with my wife at times was able to enjoy a "give and take" in negotiating price on his "yard" sales. He always had a great selection of books that we enjoyed before passing them on to others and we thoroughly enjoyed talking and "learning" from him some of his interesting history. I know he will be missed but I reflect on the knowledge that he obviously touched and gave meaning to life itself in his honest and open sharing of his experiences and love for all of GOD's children. We are all poorer for his passing but we rest in the knowledge that on the day of return of the risen CHRIST, he certainly will be near the head of the line rising to enjoy our risen LORD forever. My prayers to all of you during this period of sorrow.

Thank for taking the time to share your memories of Dad. He certainly had a way with holding a conversation didn't he? We're so glad you will always have fond memories of him. He kept that sense of humor and spirit of love right up till the end..We wish you well in your own health concerns.

Such a wonderful tribute to a great christian man! We remember Jack and Eula both being the kind and welcoming parishioners at Holy Angels when we were bringing our young children to mass. Finally together again! Jack and Eula are both deeply missed by your Holy Angels Family! RIP

So sorry to learn of Jack leaving us. He was an INSPIRATION TO ME when I met him as I joined the Sandusky Jaycees. His ready smile and total commitment to servicing his fellowman were remarkable - especially to the citizens of the Sandusky area. HE WILL BE MISSED.
