Hello, my name is Kay Rose Thompson, and I lived beside you at 1313 Huntington Ave. in Sandusky. I wanted to write to tell you I remember your family most because your mother invited us to go to Zion Lutheran Church when I was very small-before I even started school. I still go there. I was confirmed, sang in children’s choir, taught SS, was on church council, and now just sit and go to church each Sunday. Had your mom not asked us to go to church with your family, we may never have found a church. Mom and Dad didn’t go after they married; they went so much as children they decided they’d had enough. I think if I didn’t have Zion’s great education program I probably wouldn’t be where I am today in my spiritual life. So I am thanking your Mom and family for sending me on that wonderful journey of spirituality. Blessings to all of you, Kay Rose Thompson

David and Carol, Sorry for loss of Aunt Helen. It's been a long time since the wonderful days on Finch St. But I remember Aunt Helen and Uncle Bart very well. Very nice couple and they put up with ALL the kids in the neighborhood playing baseball and riding bikes till it got too dark to see.
May their souls rest in peace.
