Gloria J. Irby, 74, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Sunday morning, July 21, 2019, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
Born on July 1, 1945, in Mansfield, OH the daughter of Edward and Marian Elizabeth (Elliott) Baker. For over 20 years she had worked at Olan Mills Photography and later went on and worked at the Sandusky Mall in the Information Booth for nearly 18 years, before retiring. Gloria loved a good conversation and will always be remembered by her family as one who always had an strong opinion and enjoyed a competitive discussion.
Gloria is survived by her six daughters, Kimberly O'Connor, Sonia Fajardo, Lisa (Steve Fouse) Moser, Denise Easter, Dorothy Moon, and Michelle Watters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce (Marvin) Keinath and Frances Marian; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George J. "Jimmy" Irby (1989); two sisters, Lois Joyner and Margaret Ann Smith; and two brothers, Don Baker and Ryle J. Gorman.
It was her wishes to be cremated. No visitation or funeral services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
