Francis "Frank" Edward Gleason

Francis E. "Frank" Gleason, 89, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, May 2, 2018, surrounded by his family at the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
   Born on December 19, 1928, in Bennington, Vermont, the son of John Edward and Rose Odelia (Generous) Gleason.  Frank was a veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict .He was a car salesman for many years for three different dealerships in the local area, before retiring.
   Frank is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean C. (Riccelli) Gleason, whom he married on April 2, 1955; a daughter, Jennifer R. Gleason-Jenkins of Sandusky; two sons,  Michael F. (Glen Crinnion) Gleason of Abingdon, MD and David R. (Mari) Gleason of Sparks, NV;  three granddaughters, Kayli Camp, Jordan Goretzki and Amanda Gleason; and a grandson, Robert Gleason; also five great-grandchildren and one on the way; and nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Cushing and Margaret LaCrouix; and a brother, John Gleason.
   It was his wish to be cremated.  No visitation or funeral services will be held.  He will be buried at a later date on the family plot at the Bennington Village Cemetery, in Bennington, VT.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Ohio Veterans Home Activity Fund, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
