Emma Fern (Crist) Righi

 Emma F. (Crist) Righi, 91, of Sandusky, passed away late Monday evening, January 15, 2018, at The Meadows at Osborn Park, in Huron. 
   Born on April 2, 1926, in Nallen, West Virginia, the daughter of Lowell Vincent and Blanche May (Lively) Crist.  She was a 1944 graduate of Nutall High School in Lookout, WV.  In the early 1960's she moved to the Sandusky area where she met the love of her life, Guerino "Gene" Righi whom she was married to for nearly 50 years.  Emma had worked at American Crayon for 27 years, as a Supervisor, retiring in 1993.
   Throughout the years, Emma enjoyed spending time with and caring for her nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  She loved to cook, but she especially found true comfort in reading her Bible.  Emma was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Sandusky.
   She is survived by her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Harry and Delores (Righi) Perdue, Eda Righi, Floyd and Mary (Franchetti) Righi and Dean and Helen (Righi) Scheel, all of Sandusky, and Mario Righi of Tennessee; and special cousins, Brenda (Lively) Libcap of Dayton and Jane (Lively) Lothes of West Virginia; also numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
   Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guerino "Gene" Righi on August 3, 2009; a sister, Eva May Bryant; brother-in-law, Paschal "Neno" Righi; a niece, Sharon Bryant; and a nephew, Rev. Gary Bryant.
   Visitation will be held Friday morning, January 19, 2018, from 8:30 am until time of the funeral services at 9:30 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Rev. John W. Apple officiating.  Entombment will be in the Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, in Huron.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to First Presbyterian Church, 265 Jackson Street, Sandusky, OH 44870, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
