Eloise (Tucker) Zech

Eloise (Tucker) Conley-Zech, 86, of Sandusky passed away peacefully late Saturday morning, June 8, 2019, with family by her side at her home after a lengthy illness.
   Born on August 9, 1932, in Oka, West Virginia, the daughter of Wilbur Clinton and Erma (May) Tucker.  Eloise was a loving wife, mother and  grandmother.  She will be remembered by her family how she loved tending to her flowers (especially her sunflowers), playing bingo and caring for her garden.  She took great pride in growing and canning what she would eventually harvest from her garden; beans, tomatoes and other vegetables that she would use to feed her family.  Eloise had a gift of working on a variety of crafts and creating flower arrangements with silk flowers that she would place around the house or give to others.  She was a true die hard fan of Cleveland sports, always watching and never missing any of the Indians, Browns or the Cavaliers games on TV.
   Eloise was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 2529 Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Post # 83 Ladies Auxiliary and the AMVETS Post # 17 Ladies Auxiliary.
   She is survived by her son, Rodney (fiancee', Sandy) Conley of Sandusky; two daughters,  Mary Conley of Sandusky and Phyllis (Conley) Mears of San Francisco, CA; five grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer "Jen") Mears, Stephanie Furminger, Ryan, Dylan and Jaret  Conley; three great-grandchildren, Tucker, Madison and Ronan; and several nieces and nephews.
   Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold L. Conley; her second husband, Rolland F. "Rollie" Zech; a sister, Justine (Tucker) Hoffman; and a brother, Donald G. Tucker.
   A graveside service will be held on Thursday morning, June 13, 2019, at 11 am at the Meadow Green Memorial Park Chapel, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, OH.  Rev. David T. Clarke officiating.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio Chapter, 480 W. Dussel Drive, Maumee, OH 43537. 
   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
