Elnora Frances (Sarr) Farrell

Elnora F. "Ellie" Farrell, 95, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Friday afternoon, May 11, 2018, surrounded by her family at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, following a brief illness.

   Born on July 4, 1922, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Ora Elzer and Maggie Elnora (Butler) Sarr.   For many years she had worked as a secretary for the Head of Nursing Services at Providence Hospital, before retiring.  In days passed, Ellie loved square dancing, reading, going to the YMCA for the water aerobics classes, attending any type of festival that may be in the area, no matter if it be small or large she loved going to them, and she especially enjoyed going to the Senior Center with her friends.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

   Ellie is survived by her daughter, Linda (Steve) Butte of Hilliard; seven grandchildren, Cora, Leianda, Annette, Kathleen, Sean, Shannon and Allie; four great-grandchildren, Aubree, Nolan, Oscar and Hayley and one on the way; daughter-in-law, Susan Farrell; son-in-law, Jim Kluding; and her nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Farrell; two daughters, Jennie and Marcia; a son, Patrick; and a sister, Della Weichel.

   Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, May 16, 2018, from 10 am until time of the funeral services at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Rev. Dr. Eric L. Bodenstab officiating.  Burial will be in Peaks Cemetery, in Berlin Heights, OH.

   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
