David Burr Lee

   In the Bible there is a verse which says: Absent from the body, present with the Lord.  2 Corinthians 5:8.  David had this experience on Thursday morning, October 19th, at Firelands Hospital, surrounded by his family.  It was a wonderful homecoming.  He is with Jesus.  David and Joyce Lee enjoyed 52 years of marriage and together they raised two daughters; Michelle (Robert) Troxell of Delaware, OH and Melissa (Sean) Pearson of Westerville, OH.  They in turn gave us four grandchildren, Jacob (Kathlyn) Fritz of Seattle, WA, Joshua Fritz of Delaware, OH, Bailey Pearson of Westerville, OH and Kyle Pearson of Westerville, OH.     David is survived by his wife, Joyce (Bowsher) Lee.  
   David was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Lee; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Burr C. Lee.
   David was a great animal lover and since he was the only child and the "apple" of his mothers' eye, he was allowed to have any animal that he desired.
   David was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Sandusky, OH where he was involved in awana and Primetimers.  Under the leadership of Rev. David Hixson and Rev. Robb Fowler.
   He had various employments, the last one being Ford Motor Company, Sandusky, OH retiring in 1993 after 30 years of service.  He enjoyed 78 years of life with his family and wonderful wife.
   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 2-6 pm and Thursday morning, October 26, 2017, from 10 am until time of the funeral services at 11 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 1810 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. David Hixson and Rev. Robb Fowler officiating.  Burial will be in Green Springs Cemetery, in Green Springs, OH.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Calvary Baptist Church, 1810 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Back To the Wild, P. O. Box 423, Castalia, OH 44824.
