 Danielle Germaine (Augereau) Likes, 79, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Monday afternoon, October 2, 2017, surrounded by her family at her home.
   Born on November 12, 1937, in LaRochelle, France, the daughter of Andre and Francoise (Flon) Augereau.  While in LaRochelle, she had attended a Catholic boarding school.  In 1959, Danielle came to the United States as a young bride, having moved to the Sandusky area in 1967.   Danielle, when her children were young was a homemaker, and later went on to work at the Sheraton of Sandusky, for many years,  as the Dinning Room Supervisor.  Her family will remember her, for how she had talked, over the years, how it was a struggle to go from French cuisine to American food.  Danielle did enjoy French cooking, wines, family gatherings, gardening, reading and sewing. 
   She is survived by a daughter, Fabienne A. (Tom) Jenior of Kent; two sons, Lon (Shanna) Treece of Wathena, KS and Jason (Shelley) Likes of Sandusky; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Francine Pellegrin of Seneca, SC;  her partner and beloved friend of many years, Larry Likes, of Sandusky; and  nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents;  and a daughter, Aline G. Treece (2014).
   At her request, cremation will take place.  Private family services are to be held at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery, Sandusky.  
   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
