Daniel Lee Curry

  Daniel L. "Danny" Curry, 71, of Sandusky, passed away early Sunday morning, September 17, 2017, in The Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland, OH.
   Born on March 1, 1946, in Port Clinton, OH the son of Lewis Houston and Dorothy Margaret Babb.  He was a 1965 graduate of Port Clinton High School.  Danny was an electrician for over 40 years, working as a contractor out of the Union Hall IBEW Local #129, before retiring.  In years past, he enjoyed spending his time going camping, fishing and boating.
   He was member of the Sandusky Eagles Aerie #444 (and past president), he was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the American Legion Post #83.
   Danny is survived by his Better Half of 25 years, Barbara D. LaCourse of Sandusky; his sister, Darlene (Chris) Campbell of Coral Springs, FL; a nephew, Chris Campbell; his son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Curry of Cape Coral, FL; his daughter, Jennifer (Ed) Steidl of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Tula, Tanner and Jacob; and two stepsons, Tommy and Timmy Sims of Sandusky.
   He was preceded in death by his parents.
   At his request, no visitation will be held and cremation will take place.  A Celebration of Life will be held for Danny on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 1 pm at the American Legion Post #83, 3615 Hayes Avenue, Sandusky, in the Downstairs Hall located in the back of the Post.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Disabled American Veterans, 1240 E. 9th Street, Cleveland, OH 44199 or  to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
