Dana Eugene Oeder

 Dana E. Oeder, 65, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, August 28, 2017, at his home.
   Born on June 18, 1952, in Sandusky, OH the son of  Eugene Luther and Nina Lou (Henry) Oeder.  He was a 1970 graduate of Perkins High School and worked for the Ford Motor Company for 44 years as a pipe fitter.
   He loved spending time his family and the grandchildren.  Dana always looked forward to his trips to the casinos in Las Vegas, even though they weren't profitable.  He was also a die hard fan of the Michigan State Spartan football team.  Dana was a member of the UAW Local # 2000.
   Survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah A. (Lichtle) Oeder; his son, Heath (Carla) Oeder of Canton; his daughter, Heather (Rob Miller) Oeder of Granville, NY; four grandchildren, Amanda, Eileen, Jackson and McKenna; his brother, Kim (Meg) Oeder, of Green, OH; and a sister, Jamie (Kim) Ground of Sandusky; a "brother," Stephen (Tammy Gaines) Lichtle; a "sister," Pamela (Ray) Randolph; two nieces, Amber Lichtle and Sarah Elliot; and a nephew, Joe Lichtle.
   Dana was preceded in death by his parents.
   At his request, cremation will take place.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 4 pm until time for a moment of silence to be held for Dana at 6;30 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
