Christopher A. "Fuzzy" Howell, 58, of Sandusky passed away peacefully early Friday afternoon, April 19, 2019, surrounded by his family in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a 2 year battle with colon cancer.
Born on December 28, 1960, in Maysville, KY the son of William and Mildred (Shultz) Howell. He was a graduate of Sandusky High School and was a veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1982 - 1986. For the past 25 years, Chris had been working at Americraft Carton, Inc. as a pre-press plate maker and, prior to that, for a short time he had worked at Sandusky Folding Box and Chesapeake Packaging.
Over the years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles, listening to Rock music, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the AMVETS Post # 17.
Chris is survived by his wife of 36 years, Brenda J. (Yost) Howell; his son, Zachary R. (his fiancee', Abby Swanson) Howell; a sister, Sherrie (Mike) LaGrass; two nephews, Tony (Sarah) and Lanny (Vicki) LaGrass; a niece, Deanna (Tim) Bell; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lanny Howell; and a niece, Stephanie LaGrass.
It was his wishes to be cremated. The family will receive friends on Friday morning, April 26, 2019 from 10 am until time of the memorial service at 11:30 am at Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Road, Sandusky. Rev. Kenneth L. Hiser officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Following the service a gathering will be held by the family at Kokomos At The Keys, 4115 Boos Road, Huron.
