Cheryl A. (Click) Pawlowski, 69, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday evening, August 18, 2019, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
Born on September 16, 1949, in Marion, OH the daughter of Wilbur and Esther (Klingel) Click. Cheryl was a graduate of Marion High School and later went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts from Bowling Green State University and her Masters in Religious Education from Loyola University of New Orleans.
She had taught French and English at St. Mary's Central Catholic High School and been the Head of Religious Education, for nearly 20 years, for the Tri-Parish Catholic Community, (Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, St. Mary's Catholic Church and Holy Angels Catholic Church), retiring in 2011.
Cheryl enjoyed reading a lot and spending time with her Ladies Book Club. Also, her time for exercising either it be at the NOMS, Health and Strength or at Tim Dorsey Fitness. Over the years, she also enjoyed baking pies and gardening. But what was especially important to her and dear to her heart was her involvement with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) which she had been active with for nearly 10 years. Cheryl had also volunteered at the Ohio Veterans Home for several years.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and very active in the church choirs.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ed Pawlowski; two sons, Gregory (Cristey) Pawlowski of Durham, NC and Jake Pawlowski of Hilliard; her two brothers, Roger Click of Santa Fe, NM and David (Sue) Click of Salt Lake City, UT; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
It was Cheryl's wish to be cremated. Her family will receive friends on Saturday morning, August 24, 2019, from 9 am until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Monte Hoyles officiating.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the Erie County CASA Program, 111 E. Shoreline Drive, Suite 5, Sandusky, OH 44870.
