Catherine O. (Overly) Brock

Catherine B. (Overly) Brock, 88, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Sunday evening, September 16, 2018, surrounded by her family in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on August 8, 1930, in Armbrust, PA the daughter of Walter Bennett and Emma Frances (Thomas) Overly.  She had worked at New Departure-Hyatt Inc. (Division of General Motors) for over 30 years, retiring in 1987.  Throughout the years, Catherine and her husband "JC" had traveled extensively and had spent over 30 years wintering in Florida.  Over the years, she enjoyed spending time with her family and the grandchildren.
   Catherine was a member of the Milan Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
   She is survived by her family, Betty Coleman of Mt. Pleasant, PA, James J.R. Brock of Warsaw, Zaneth (Dan Feicht) Brock of Castalia, and Janice (Scott) Smith of Berlin Heights; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tina Davis of Castalia and Verna Gum of Mt. Pleasant, PA; three brothers, Dale (Mille) Overly of Herminine, PA, Jim (Thelma) Overly of Hunker, PA and Jay Allen (Becky) Overly of Mt. Pleasant, PA; three sister-in-laws, Sheryl Overly, Sylvia Ratliff and Mardell Brewer; a brother-in-law, Huey Eversole; and many nieces and nephews.
   Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, James C. "JC" Brock on May 28, 2016; a granddaughter, Wendy Haley; a great-grandson, Joey Haley; two sisters, Mable Eversole and Fran Frame; two brothers, Ray Overly and Walter H. "Buck" Overly.
   Visitation will be held on Friday morning, September 21, 2018, from 10 am until time of the funeral services at 11 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Rev. Rodney J. Hollen officiating.  Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH. There will be a light luncheon provided after service at Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Road, Sandusky. 
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
